Thank you to everyone who joined us for our inaugural event in New York City on June 9th, 2005. The evening was a resounding success.
The evening's Catalyzers were Sir Ken Robinson, Ron Pompei, Polly LaBarre
(Former Senior Editor, Fast Company Magazine) and Mick Fleetwood (founding member of Fleetwood Mac).
Globalization is reshaping the world in unimaginable ways: massive economic, environmental and cultural shifts are being wrought by the accelerating
interaction and meshing of economies and societies.
Technological innovations, radical demographic shifts and new cultural dynamics are driving this
increasing speed of change. As a result, innovation has become the most important driver of value in business today. Our ability to adapt and to stay
ahead in a global economy will depend on the extent to which we unlock the inherent powers of creativity in each person in our organizations.
Post-industrial economies must adapt to new forms of work based on intellectual and creative labor. New patterns of work challenge old assumptions about
the nature, length and rhythms of working life.
The expectations of customers are changing, too: they want to buy from companies that operate in an ethical manner, whose brand experiences allow for
active customer participation and that otherwise reflect their personal values.
Many old ideas about education, training and human resources are now inadequate and irrelevant. We need new conceptions of intelligence, creativity and
human resources and new approaches to human resources and corporate development.
For most companies, this means learning more about the way innovation happens; By exploring new global perspectives, customer relationships, learning
systems and work environments to maximize the creative potential of all their people determining discover the best conditions to foster and profit from
innovation companies will discover a community in which the conception and realization of innovative ideas is intuitive.
